Mary Peacock Elementary School

Mary Peacock Elementary School serves over 300 students in Preschool through Grade 5 in Crescent City, California.  We are part of the Del Norte County Unified School District's network of schools. 9% of our students are English Language Learners.  52% of our students are White, 30% are Hispanic, 7% are American Indian, and 7% are multi-ethnic.  

Our school is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school.  This means that we believe that students should be recognized for safe, respectful, and responsible choices as well as taught how to make those choices.  We believe that we all learn best in a positive and encouraging setting.

Our staff recognizes each child’s unique contribution to our school family and works to create a positive learning atmosphere in which your child can thrive. 

History

Mary Peacock Elementary School was built in 1995 as a Preschool through Grade 6 school.  Our school is named after a local educator.
